USAID Media and Youth Outreach Tour by Subaita Fairooz Six students from the Department of Media and Communication took part in the USAID Media and Youth Outreach Tour in Jashore from July 24 to July 25, 2019. We were selected from the Development Communication and Journalism streams of the department. The first component of our tour revolved around aquaculture and the second part involved sustainable agriculture practices. The British Academy Writing Workshop

The Department of Law at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), in collaboration with the British Academy; Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham; and South Asian Institute of Advanced Legal and Human Rights Studies (SAILS) organized the ‘British Academy Writing Workshop 2018’ at IUB’s own campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka from October 12-14, 2018. Media writing students to visit Old Dhaka

On Friday, 20th July 2018, two sections of students attending the course CMN207: Introduction to Media Writing of the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) went on a field trip to Old Dhaka under the supervision of the course instructors Ms. Raiyana Rahman and Ms. Mushfeqa Islam, to visit popular landmarks and interview locals in order to understand and write features on culture and heritage of Old Dhaka. An orientation workshop for the faculty members of IUB was held on September 21, 2017 at the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS).
