Media writing students to visit Old Dhaka

On Friday, 20th July 2018, two sections of students attending the course CMN207: Introduction to Media Writing of the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) went on a field trip to Old Dhaka under the supervision of the course instructors Ms. Raiyana Rahman and Ms. Mushfeqa Islam, to visit popular landmarks and interview locals in order to understand and write features on culture and heritage of Old Dhaka. The students visited sites such as the Buriganga River, Ahsan Manzil, Shakhari Bazaar and Beauty Boarding. They interviewed local residents, tradesmen and business owners and took their photographs for the upcoming tabloid CMN Times, a publication by the Department of Media and Communication of IUB.
