UN Global Day observed at IUB

The Global Studies and Governance Program of SLASS at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized day-long events to celebrate the United Nations Day on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at IUB campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka. To mark the day, through research-based panel discussions, 15 papers were presented under 4 different panels. The Department of Law at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), in collaboration with the British Academy; Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham; and South Asian Institute of Advanced Legal and Human Rights Studies (SAILS) organized the ‘British Academy Writing Workshop 2018’ at IUB’s own campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka from October 12-14, 2018. Seminar on Tigers in Sundarbans

Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of SLASS at IUB organized a Seminar on “Tigers in Sundarbans” on October 7, 2018 at its own campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka. IFIC Literary Award winning tiger expert, Khasru Chowdhury was the Keynote Speaker of the program. Professor M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB chaired the Seminar and delivered valuable speech.
