Afroza Bilkis completed her LLB (Hons) and LLM from University of Dhaka securing Second Class First Position and First Class, respectively. She has obtained her second LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of South Wales in UK with 2 distinctions and 3 merit scores. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Competition Law at the University of Dhaka. She had previously been serving at Northern University Bangladesh since 2010. She has joined the Department of Law at Independent University Bangladesh as Lecturer A on 2nd February 2021. She has been involved in legal research throughout her academic career and has a number of publications in national and international peer reviewed journals. She has presented research papers at National and International Seminars and Conferences as well. Her areas of research interests are Competition Law, Consumer Protection Law, Contracts, Environmental Law and Comparative Constitutional Law. Her research goal is to contribute to the works and progress of the regulatory authorities in Bangladesh in dealing with anti-competitive market behavior.
