Mr Nazir Ahmed has been working at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) since August 1999.  He graduated from the Institute of Fine-Art, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and obtained MA Degree in Fine-Art in Graphic Design and Illustration from the National Academy in Oslo, Norway. He was a Research Fellow in Print Making for a period of four years under the Print Making Department at the same Academy. He also gathered experience in teaching Drawing and Painting at Kabelvaag Art College in North Norway. He exhibited his Art-work both at home and abroad in places such as Munch Museum in Oslo and USA.

Mr. Ahmed teaches Art and Aesthetics 101, Music Appreciation 101, Bangla- Literature and Art-101. The courses highlight the problem of perception, enjoyment, and evaluation of Art object with a view to developing an eye that needs to decode aesthetic of the world and Bangladeshi culture and heritage as well. He also coordinates IUB-Art club that promoting students to develop their imaginative-mind on various social and cultural events. He himself is a music composer and pianist and conducts Convocation-Choir of IUB.
