A study tour was organized for the students of GSG 321 on 18 November 2019. GSG 321: International Terrorism and Counter Terrorism course has been designed to give a clear and comprehensive introduction to the complex issues surrounding terrorism with an analytical evaluation to achieve learning of following: learn the definition of terrorism; learn the context and origin of terrorism; understand the typology and theories of terrorism; comprehend counter-terrorism tactics; explore the different trajectories and pathways. Greta Green Global Day Observed at IUB

The ‘Greta Green Global Day’ was observed on October 24, 2019 at IUB’s own campus in Bashundhara R/A, Dhaka. The daylong event was organized by the Global Studies and Governance (GSG) Program of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS) at IUB. Focusing on environmental and development issues, GSG arranged different activities such as students’ speech contest, roundtable session on Bay of Bengal, and a colorful cultural show. IUB Hosts Seminar on Major Challenges of Dhaka

Global Studies & Governance (GSG) Program organized a daylong seminar on 18 November, 2019 on sustainable urban planning titled "The New Megacity: for Whom" in collaboration with the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO), UNESCO, and IHE DELFT.  Four University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) professors including the Dean, School of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs presented their research papers.
