MSS in Development Studies
MSS in Development Studies at IUB is offered under two different programs. The total credit hours to be completed by the two programs are the same but can be earned through two separate rates of completion. Program 1, which is for full-time students, is offered over 4 terms, including the Summer Term, while Program 2 is offered over 6 terms including the Summer Terms. Students are admitted to the programs only during the Autumn and Spring terms.
Master’s Thesis is a requirement and it is to be researched and written by the student on a topic covered by the courses taught in the program. The thesis will be supervised by a senior IUB faculty member. The student is required to write a research proposal and defend it at the preliminary stage before going into detailed research and analysis. After completing the thesis it will have to be defended again in a public defense.
