Mr. Towhid Bin Muzaffar has completed his Masters degree in Linguistics from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He also did his BA from the same university in English Literature and Linguistics. He worked for several years as a Research Assistant at the Department of Linguistics, Memorial University before returning to Bangladesh.
He has been teaching in the Department of English at IUB from June 1998. His areas of interest include Historical Linguistics with special emphasis on Algonquian and Indo-European languages; endangered languages; computational linguistics, particularly phonological reconstructions of proto- forms, simulating reflexes and so on.
Since 2004 he has been involved in teaching and doing research on IELTS.
