Conference on 4th industrial revolution held at IUB

IUB Korean Club members at the 30th International Youth Forum in South Korea

This week two IUB students namely Nushin Zinnia and Faizaa Fariya Hridi are taking part at the 30th International Youth Forum in Seoul, South Korea that will end on the 23rd of July 2019. They are there to represent IUB as well as Bangladesh. Both Nushin and Faiza attended the course ‘KRN 112: Korean Cinema and Society’ taught by Professor Zakir Hossain Raju. Prof. Raju established this unique course (only such course in South Asia) in 2015 and later he also founded IUB K-club in 2016 with the graduates of this course to explore the Korean culture in Bangladesh. Professor Imtiaz A. Hussain, Head, GSG Program and Acting Dean of SLASS at IUB bestowed complimentary copies of the Book, “South Asia in Global Power Rivalry – Inside-out Appraisals from Bangladesh” to IUB Library on July 8, 2019 through an informal ceremony. Conference on “Quadrangulated Quandary” held at IUB

A daylong Conference titled "Quadrangulated Quandary" was held at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at the university campus in Bashundhara R/A, Dhaka. The event was organized by the Global Studies and Governance (GSG) Program of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS) at IUB. Though quandary is a universal problem, GSG focuses on Bangladesh to illustrate the problems and prospects.
